Catherine Mayle Obituary
Catherine Mayle, age 77, a resident of Galloway, passed away, on Thursday, December 2, 2021, in the United Hospital Center, following a brief illness. She was born on March 24, 1944, in Philippi, WV, a daughter of the late Coy Mayle and Roberta (Croston) Mayle. Catherine was united in marriage to Charles E. Mayle who survives in Belington.
She is survived by two sons, Aaron Mayle and companion Tiffany Witek, Charles L. "Chucky" Mayle and wife Dorothy, one daughter, Janie (Mayle) Peters and husband Oakey "Bobby", a special son in law, Rocky "Delane" Dalton, six grandchildren, Bryden Dalton, Nathaniel Dalton, Christopher Mayle, Kaitlynn Mayle, Bethany Peters, Gavin Peters, a sister, Violet Mayle, two sisters in law, Charlotte Mayle and Demetria Mayle, several nephews, and nieces. Mrs. Mayle was preceded in death by two daughters, Infant Dawn Michelle Mayle, and Robin Mayle, four brothers, Roger Mayle, James Mayle, Johnny Mayle and Robert Lee Mayle. Catherine attended the schools of Barbour County, loved to read books, and gardening.
She loved to cook for her family and friends always made sure her guest never went away hungry. Also enjoyed going to church. Mrs. Mayle was a home body and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Family and friends will be received at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Monday December 6, 2021, from 10 am until 12 pm. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 12 pm with the Rev. David Maley officiating.
In honoring Catherine's wishes her remains will be cremated. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the Mayle Family with the arrangements.
