He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer H. Bowser and Daisy J. Bowser (Barker); his wife Luzia Marianne Bowser (Sowodniok); his siblings, Ray Bowser and Margaret Priddy; and his sister-in-law Jean Ann Bowser.

He is survived by: his children, Ramona Kincaid (Mark) of Parkersburg, James Bowser (Kathy) of Southside, Patricia Ford (Ronald) of Parkersburg, Anita Wolfanger (Derek) of St. Marys, PA and Mark Bowser (Melanie) of Cameron, NC; his grandchildren, Robert "Robbie" Weethee Jr. (Rachel), Garth Weethee (Kendra), Andrea Weethee (Ethan), Anneliese Wolfanger, Alexandra Wolfanger, Andrew Wolfanger, Melissa Bowser and Amy Bowser; his siblings, Oren Eugene Bowser, Ernest Bowser (Nancy), David Bowser (Gloria) and Debra Given; and his siblings-in-law, William "Bill" Priddy and Mary Bowser. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren.
