With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Wesley Weethee Jr. of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on December 20, 2020 at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Weethee Sr. and Okla "Messick" Weethee; his siblings, Clinton David Weethee Sr., Steven Lee Weethee, Robert Weethee and Sharon Kay Sheline; his son-in-law Robert L. Atkinson; and his close friends, Howard Knapp and Rick Tolliver.
He is survived by: his wife Vikki Weethee of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; his children, Stephanie Peters (Shawn) of Ambrosia, WV, April Jordan (Justin) of Point Pleasant, WV, Johnna Weethee (Joseph Snowden), Josie Weethee (Greg Weaver), Nikki McGrath (Jason Bush) and Derek McGrath (Dominique) of Charleston, WV.; his siblings, Jeannie Bledsoe and Ray Dewitt; his siblings-in-law, Juanita Weethee of Gallipolis Ferry and Mickey Sheline of Gallipolis Ferry; and his close friends, Darryl Pearson and Johnny Vanscoy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
