It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Virginia Long of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, who passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Asa Utley Henry and Mary Evelyn Henry (Putney); her husbands, Charles W. Pyles Jr. and Woodrow Long; her granddaughter Rhonda Toney; and her sisters, Mahala Jones, Margaret Yester, Emma Fisher and Yvonne Short.
She is survived by: her sons, Fred Pyles (April) of Gallipolis Ferry, Bob Pyles (Marybeth) of Gallipolis Ferry and David Pyles (Connie) of Dickson, TN; her grandchildren, Ashley Alan Pyles (Julie) of Barboursville, WV, Natalie Lynn Sargent (Josie) of Gallipolis Ferry, Erin Pyles (Sean Rickard) of Point Pleasant and Jason Pyles (Marian) of Elkins, WV; her great grandchildren, Daisy, Delilah Sargent, Clara, Chelsea Pyles, Asa, Amelia Pyles, Noah Rickard and Cayden Dennewitz; and her sisters, Geraldine Adams of Gallipolis Ferry and Maxine Johnson of Rapid City.
Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required.
