He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Ash and Edith Weekley Ash; and his sister Phyllis June Slate. He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Johnston Ash of Friendly, WV; his sons, Jeffrey Ash of Friendly, WV and Todd "Andy" Ash of Greensboro, NC; and his grandson Christopher Luke Ash.
