It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Novotny of Friendly, West Virginia, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 29, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Kovacs and Ethel Debreceni Kovacs; her husband Michael Novotny; her siblings, Eugene, Bobby, William, Stephen Kovacs and Irene McVicker; and her daughter-in-law Judith Novotny.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Novotny of Murrysville, PA, Michael "Mick" Novotny (Deborah Wingerson) of West Homestead, PA, Robert "Bobby" Novotny (Janet) of West Homestead, PA and Debbie Novotny (Steven Morningstar) of Friendly, WV; her brothers, Jim Kovacs (Lorita) and Johnny Kovacs; and her grandchildren, Michael Novotny, Betsy Novotny and Ben Novotny. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
