She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Tenney and Mellie Jane Carpenter Tenney; her son Nick Hinchman; and her siblings, Paul, Eugene Tenney and Rita Hinchman.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy VanGilder (Bernard) of French Creek, Joy Mullins (Floyd) of French Creek, Jamie Herron (Christopher) of French Creek, Douglas Russell (Jenny) of Buckhannon and James Russell (Brittney) of Buckhannon; her daughter-in-law Kimberly Hinchman of Adrian, WV; her grandchildren, Ernest R. Samples II (Liza) of Olympia, WA and Jenny Samples (Terry Mills) of Buckhannon; her great grandchild Cassius Rae Samples of Olympia, WA; her siblings, Phyllis Humphrey of Century, WV, Bernard Tenney of Buckhannon and Bill Tenney of Elkins, WV; and her sister-in-law Mildred Tenney of French Creek. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and extended family.
