He was predeceased by: his brothers, Glen Dale Whitt and Gene Whitt. He is survived by: his children, Jennette Adkins of Barboursville and Chris Whitt (Chastidy) of Milton; his brother Gomer Whitt of Hurricane; and his grandchildren, Brennan Adkins, Brailey Neal, Brasdan Pike and Braelyn Edmonds.
