He is survived by: his children, Nicole Renee Murphy of Harrisonburg, VA and Chris Simmons of Franklin, WV; his sister Mary Lou Murphy of Petersburg, WV; and his close friends, Mark Carter (Evelyn Carter), Forest Hill and Danny Kimble of Franklin, WV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
