She was predeceased by: her parents, Gussa Alexander and Bertha Alexander (Hartman); her spouse Reford Gale Simmons; her son Norman Sisson; her grandchildren, Adrian Simmons, Wesley Teter and Alisha VanMeter; and her brother Donald Ray Alexander.
She is survived by: her children, Edna Lou Simmons (George) of Franklin, WV, Arvella Mae "Sis" Rose (Roy) of Franklin, WV, Judy Lynn Rexrode of Upper Tract, WV, Ronda Lea Simmons (John) of Franklin, WV, Deborah Ann Propst (Daniel) of Franklin, WV, H. Allen Sisson (Barb) of Petersburg, WV, William Henry "Bill" Sisson (Lisa) of Proctor, WV and Russell David "Dave" Sisson of Mathias, WV; her daughter-in-law Ioleta Sisson of Stanley, VA; and her siblings, Bonnie Simmons of Franklin, WV, Opal Williams of Franklin, WV, Lula Simmons (Buck) of Franklin, WV, Twila Walker of Franklin, WV, Linda Beachler (Nathan) of Sugar Grove, WV, Walter Alexander (Armida) of Upper Tract, WV and Ralph Alexander of Moorefield, WV. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren.
