She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Jay and Mabel Bennett (Warner); her husband Vernon Clay Simmons; and her brothers, Merl E "Cub" and Glenn Bennett.
She is survived by: her close friend Rita Lambert (Carl) of Grottoes, VA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
