He was predeceased by: his parents, John Preston and Clara Ella Ruddle; his wife Virginia Ruddle (Murphy); and his siblings, Reed, Kathleen Ruddle, Maxine Dunkle and Pauline Harman.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Ruddle of Franklin, WV and John Ruddle (Linda) of Franklin, WV; his sister-in-law Kathryn Ruddle of Franklin, WV; and his granddaughter Cassandra "Sandy" Kile Richards (David). He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren; 6 nieces; 4 nephews; and a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
