He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Thompson and Myrtle Thompson (Warner); his brother Kenneth Harlan Thompson; and his brother-in-law Bobbie L. Raines. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Elizabeth Thompson (Harper); his siblings, Everett Olin Thompson (Libby) of Bunker Hill, WV, Berlie Thompson (Frances) of Winchester, VA and Mary Ruth Raines of Circleville, WV; and his caregiver Terri Grogg of Franklin, WV.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home (826 Blue Gray Trail, Franklin, WV 26807). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home Chapel (826 Blue Gray Trail, Franklin, WV 26807).
