It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Mae Hively Linaburg Sponaugle of Franklin, West Virginia, born in Brandywine, West Virginia, who passed away on August 13, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Loy E. Hively and Estella Hively (Sibert); her former husband Charles O. Linaburg, Sr.; her husband Earl L. Sponaugle; her son Charles O. Linaburg, Jr.; and her siblings, Norman, Tilman, Luther, Earl Hively, Louise Snyder and Elaine Athey.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Linaburg (Tammy) of Franklin, WV, Jay Linaburg (Kim) of Clarksburg, WV, Vickie Brown (Gene) of Midlothian, VA and Sandy Kelly (Dave) of Mechanicsville, VA; her stepchildren, Rev. Samuel Sponaugle (Nina) of Penn Laird, VA and Sue Ellen Mitchell (Ralph) of Upper Tract, WV; her sister Virginia Propst of Moyers, WV; her grandchildren, Evie Brown, Jordan Brown, Bryn Brown, Elliott Brown, Trey Linaburg (Amber), Tiffany Boggs (Ryan), Brittany Starcher (Brandon), Charles Thomas Linaburg, Josiah Linaburg, Jeremiah Linaburg, Kara Linaburg, Korin Linaburg, Kailan Linaburg, Kayla Kelly and Ryan Kelly; and her great grandchildren, Parker Boggs, Greyson Boggs and Paelyn Linaburg.
