She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Samuel and Emma Cleriece Moats (Beverly); her husband Virgil Moats; her children, Chester, Dennis Moats and Gloria Moats; and her siblings, Harmon, Melvin, Lawrence, Eugene Moats and Beverly Gardiner.
She is survived by: her children, Crystal Moats of Cayce, SC, Cephornia Smith of Harrisonburg, VA and Anthony "AJ" Moats of Moyers, WV; her siblings, Elsie Barrow of Franklin, WV, Cora and Earl Moats (Gloria) of Franklin, WV; and her daughter-in-law Helen Moats of Staunton, VA. She is also survived by several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
