She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lester and Rhoda Thompson (Warner); her son James David Hyre; and her siblings, Wilmer, Robert, Jacob, James Ralph Thompson, Martha Thompson and Mary Elizabeth Thompson.

She is survived by: her daughter Melody Cooper of Franklin; her grandson Bruce Cosby Eagle, Jr.; and her great grandchild Grayson Cole Eagle.
