He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Murphy and Eva Mae Murphy (Rexrode); his wife Mary Sophia Murphy (Gallant); and his sister Virginia Ruddle. He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Contrades (Stanley) of Franklin, WV; his grandchildren, Jonathan Contrades of Franklin, WV and Lauren Wunderle (William) of Ft. Stewart, GA; and his great grandchildren, Emmalynn and William.
