Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Herbert Elton Eye of Franklin, West Virginia, who passed away at the age of 101, on July 23, 2022. He was predeceased by: his parents, Whitney W. Eye and Etta Mae Eye (Dunkle); his wife Mary Lee Eye (Harper); his siblings, Sylvia Hartman, Mary Smith, Jean Brunn and Earl H. Eye; his son-in-law Raymond A. Clapsadle; and his grandson Robert Clapsadle.
He is survived by: his children, Christina Clapsadle (Eye) of Cordove, TN and Charles W. Eye (Janice) of Tulsa, OK; and his nephew Neal Eye (Linda) of Franklin, WV.. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Herbert's honor may be made to the WV Schools for Deaf and Blind, 301 East Main St., Romney, WV 26757.
