She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Mode Ratliff and Lena Susan Ratliff (Kesner); her husband Virgil T. Simmons; her siblings, Ethel Alt, Ersley Whetzel, Nancy Mongold, Chaney Ratliff, Arthur Ratliff, Olin Ratliff, Glen Ratliff and Homer Ratliff; and her grandson Jason Simmons.
She is survived by: her sons, David Perry Simmons (Patty) of Franklin and Virgil Wayne Simmons of Franklin, Two; her sisters, Vada Mallow of Upper Tract, WV and Genevieve May (Charles) of Maysville, WV; her grandchildren, Ginger Kimble (Jason) of Franklin, Patrick Simmons (Jessica) of Petersburg, WV and Brian Simmons (Tuesday) of Wake Forest, NC; and her great grandchildren, Patrick Jacob "PJ" Simmons, Mason Simmons, Ryan Kimble, Alex Kimble, Hayden Kimble and Cedar Simmons. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
