He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Raines and Gilda Harper Raines (Wimer); his children, Thomas, Glen Raines and Terry Lynn Raines; and his half-siblings, Harry Wayne Raines, Henri Merlee Harper and Patsy Jean Raines.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Kay Raines (Propst); his son Albun "Abby" Raines of Brandywine, WV; his stepson Rocky Bussard (Kelly) of Franklin, WV; his grandchildren, Kayla Will (Brett) and Craig; and his half-siblings, Elsie Mae Lambert of Franklin, WV, Margaret Whetzel of Franklin, WV, Wanda Mongold (Russell) of Franklin, WV, Judy Wilson (Jim) of Petersburg, WV, Elaine Vandevander (Darrell) of Monterey, VA, Linda Wimer (Virgil) of Blue Grass, VA, Larry Raines (Mary) of Seneca Rocks, WV and Dennis "Dink" Raines of Circleville, WV.. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
