With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cornelia Ruth (Bible) Nelson of Franklin, West Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her father George W.; her husband Raymond Wilson Nelson; and her sisters, Phillis Brady, Nola Williams and Patricia Crane.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Wilson Nelson (Debbie) of Franklin, Jerry Lee Nelson (June) of Franklin, Charles Eugene Nelson (Marsha) of Franklin, Donald "Lynn" Nelson (Kathy) of Moyers, Kenny Wade Nelson (Carla Folks) of Franklin and Cassandra King (Ryan) of Bridgewater; and her sisters, Ruby Munch of Florida, Joyce Ann Swisher of Verona and Jenny Butler of Front Royal. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great- grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Obaugh Funeral Home (8739 Highland Turnpike, McDowell, VA 24458). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
