She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Skotarski and Clara Skotarski (Kaniecki); her husband Robert Jennings "Bob" Nelson; her children, William, Charles "Chuck" Nelson and Darlene Cox; her siblings, Junior and Margaret; and her grandsons, Jason and Johnnie Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Robert J. Nelson of Baltimore, MD and Joella Allen of Baltimore, MD; and her sister Dorothy Freeman of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
