He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Murphy of Franklin, WV, Johnny Murphy of Franklin, WV and Scott Murphy of Three Forks, MT; his grandchildren, James Michael, Dewayne, Tiffany, Connor and Noah Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Mayson and Kaden.
Memorials may be made to Franklin Volunteer Fire Department or Franklin Rescue Squad.
