He is survived by: his wife Margaret Joan Raines Whetzel; his children, Crystal Whetzel, Melanie Kretzschmar (Jamey) and Trevor Whetzel (Trina); his siblings, Ina Shirley Kile of Petersburg, Bonnie Rexrode of Petersburg, Frances Ruddle (Randy) of Franklin Three, Cletus Whetzel (Sandra) of Stoney Beach, MD, Paul Whetzel (Mildred) of Petersburg and Gary Whetzel (Rose); his grandchildren, Logan Willis (Tabitha), Caleb Willis, Lindsey Stewart (Sean), Kyle Kretzschmar (Shelby), Tanner Whetzel (Jada) and Taylor Whetzel; and his great grandchildren, Tripp, Mephis and Aria.
