He was predeceased by: his parents, Belva Ball and Charles Ball; his son Paul Cochran; and his parents-in-law, Helen and Arhtur Hirsch.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ball; his daughter Helen Tharp (Richard); his sister Denise Newhouse; and his grandchildren, Laura Francis and Jerry Francis II. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
