She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer William and Pauline Bostic Burns of Virginia; her husband Hershel Lee Thompson; her siblings, William Burns Jr., Geraldine Terry, Viola Burns and Marlene Pitsenbarger; her great grandchild Ezra Thompson; her granddaughter Mary Beth Thompson; and her son-in-law Ray Pittman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Penny Dolan (Eddie) of Grottoes, VA, Paula Hudson (Roger) of Newton, WV and Peggy Pittman (Joe Johnson) of Alderson, WV; her stepson Mike Thompson of Ronceverte, WV; and her grandchildren, Nikki Carter, Adam Dolan, Courtney Brown, Megan Morris, Frankie Melara, Katie Windon, Joseph Thompson, Thomas Pittman, Hunter Pittman, Erica Young, Roger Lee Hudson, Jason and Jesse Hudson. She is also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews.
