He is survived by: his parents, Bill Messer and Rhonda Messer (Sturgell); his wife Kamala Wellman Messer; his children, Johnna Messer-Hinkle (George) of Louisa, KY, Brooke Shepard (Charles) of Georgetown, KY, Jayda Messer, Billie Messer, Blake Stuart of Fort Gay, WV and Carson Stuart; his grandchildren, Anthony "Tony" Hinkle, Gracelyn Messer-Hinkle, Charlee Jo Shepard and Ashton Shepard; his sister Tara Crabtree (Dale) of Fort Gay, WV; his sister-in-law Jennifer Sword (Stan) of Louisa, KY; his nieces, Michaela Messer and Kendal Sword; his nephew Kade Sword; and his parents-in-law, Herbert and Joyce Wellman of Fort Gay, WV.
