She was predeceased by: her father Leon Vanhoose; her husband Edward Thompson; and her siblings, Carolyn Vanhoose, Mary Ann Vanhoose, Bennie Vanhoose and Ricky Vanhoose.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Hawkins (Douglas), Jean Minney (Sylvester), Darren Thompson and Melissa Frazier (Barry); her grandchildren, Cody Thompson (Samantha), Gage Minney, Khaleah Minney, Keri Frazier, Christina Frazier, Courtney Frazier, Jason Newsome (Tori) and Jeffrey Frazier; her great grandchildren, Mckenzie Thompson, Eli Newsome and Brady Frazier; and her siblings, Loretta Dean, Bonnie Brinkley, Sharon Gearheart, Bobby Vanhoose and Donald Vanhoose.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
