He is survived by: his daughter Courtney Newsome Howell of Kermit; his close friend Crystal Newsome of Ft. Gay, WV; and his siblings, Lyle "Punk" Newsome (Sherri) of Crum, WV, Glen Newsome (Garnett) of Wayne, WV, Ronnie Newsome (Kathy) of Wayne, WV, Mike Newsome (Bonnie) of Kermit, WV, Lois Johnson (Jessie) of Madisonville, KY, Dianne McVay (Johnny) of Diamond, KY, Euvonne Hester (Danny) of South Carolina, Paula (Earl) and Faith Bailey (Jason) of Lavalette, WV.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
