He is survived by: his wife Carol Cox Adkins; his daughter Ashley Blind (Fred) of Auburndale, Florida; his stepsons, Chris Surgoine of Chapmanville, WV and Aaron Surgoine of Branchland, WV; his brothers, Larry Adkins of Wayne, Bob Adkins (Sabrina) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Dickie Adkins (Kim) of Jeffrey, WV; and his grandchildren, Deaven Surgoine, Ava Grace Blind and Kennedy Blind.
