He was predeceased by: his mother Winnie Thompson; his stepfather James Lambert; and his siblings, Frances Thompson, Gladys Kitts, Virginia Cyrus, James Lambert Jr. and Garland Thompson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ernie Thompson of Mansfield, OH, Elzie Thompson of Fort Gay, WV and Cora Jean Cyrus of Fort Gay, WV. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
