He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Marcum and Shirley Branham Marcum; his wife Irene Copley Marcum (Tootsie); his son Roger Lee Marcum; his siblings, Homer Marcum and Ethel Marcum; and his grandsons, James Earsel Hughes, John Shelby Hughes and Joseph Riley Raines.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elaine Marcum Brumfield (Joe) of Fort Gay, WV, Shirley Marcum Hughes Bradley of Fort Gay, WV and Rena Marcum Carter (Donald) of Louisa, KY; and his grandchildren, Crissa, Carla, Joey, Sonya, Chastity, Brandon, Ashley and Julie. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
