He is survived by: his children, Maticia J. Poland (Craig) of Fort Ashby and Robert B. Patterson, Jr. (Kathy) of Romney; his grandchildren, Amy Weaver (Anthony), CJ Poland (Nikki), Shayla Pancione (Orie), Kristin Cannon (Dave), Amanda Smith (Tim) and Kasey Smith (Wesson); his great grandchildren, Adyn, Alyn, Albyn, Alyjah Weaver, Brayan, Brantley Poland, Karsyn, Camden Cannon, Ryker, Reece, Rynn Pancione, Mesa, Memphis Smith, Cooper and Kamrie Smith; his siblings-in-law, Albert Corbin, Randy Manning and Connie Reisinger; his nephews, Michael Corbin and Rich Patterson; and his niece Patty Wygal.
