It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alida Woodard Chick Lancaster of Fort Ashby, West Virginia, who passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Woodard and Mary Woodard (Jaramillo); her former husband Rev. John F. Chick; her son Aubrey Chick; and her granddaughter Shelly Gravely.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Jack W. Lancaster; her children, Penny Golabek (Allan), Peggy Vessell, John Chick, Jr. (Donna) and Stephen Chick (Lisa); and her stepchildren, Jack C. Lancaster (Larnet), Norma Peck, Elizabeth Iliff, Clorinda Calhoun (Mike) and Diane Singleton. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
