It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles William Mitchell of Forest Hill, West Virginia, born in Forest, Virginia, who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Charles and Vesta Belcher Mitchell; his wife Ramona Cathryn Mitchell; his daughter Patricia Mitchell Young; his siblings, James Mitchell (Helen) and Eula Sheets (Al); and his brothers-in-law, Bill Kessler, Bart Doring and Stanley Farley (Betty).
He is survived by: his sons, Billy Brian Mitchell (Kathy) of Forest Hill and Keith Mitchell (Debra) of Beavercreek, OH; his son-in-law Jeff Young of Forest Hill; his grandchildren, Christopher Mitchell (Amber) of Hinton, Jason Mitchell of Charlotte, NC, Sarah Mitchell of Beavercreek, OH, Michelle Lucas (Justin) of Forest Hill and Samantha Mitchell of Beavercreek, OH; and his great grandchildren, Preston Mitchell, Hannah Lucas and Jazzlyn Lucas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fairview Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern WV.
