With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William John Schaefer of Follansbee, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2024 at the age of 97. He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Schaefer and Agatha I. Schaefer (Fitzgerald); and his son William M. Schaefer (Laurel). He is survived by: his wife Teresa Schaefer (Koch); and his children, Erich E. Schaefer (Laura), Kurt A. Schaefer, Karl J. Schaefer (Karra), Lincoln J. Schaefer (Sarah) and Adelle M. Schaefer, MD. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
