We bid farewell to Janet Fay Riggs of Follansbee, West Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 4, 2025 at the age of 80. Janet touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Schumacher and Agnes Schumacher (Legge); and her husband Lonny Riggs Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, Lonny Riggs Jr. (Jayda) of Follansbee, WV, Charles "Bill" Riggs (Michele) of Colliers, WV, Denny Riggs (Hope) of Canton, OH and Joshua Riggs (Carol) of Weirton, WV; and her grandchildren, Lonni Blair Baker (Devin), Emma Jade Riggs, Nathan Riggs, Sara Riggs (Quintan Pizer), Tyler Riggs (Alexis), Justin T. Riggs and Madison Riggs. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home (1245 Main St, Follansbee, WV 26037). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
