She was predeceased by: her parents, George Emery Searls and Ruby Helen Searls Butler (Haynes); her husband Herman G. Kohen; her great grandchild Noah Blazer; her son-in-law Pat Blavos; and her sisters, Mary Lindle, Isabelle Ronevich, Annabelle Martin and Inez Tuttle.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Blavos of Follansbee, WV, H. Charles Kohen (Valerie) of Weddington, NC, Gary Kohen of Follansbee, WV, David Kohen (Naomi) of Roanoke, VA, Rex Kohen (Chris) of Yorktown, VA and Brady Kohen (Cassie) of Pleasantville, OH; and her sister Betty Jo Searls of Follansbee, WV. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; along with many nephews.
