He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert Gene, Amy DeCesare and Sophia Slanchik. He is survived by: his parents, George Slanchik and Joanne Slanchik (DeCesare) of Follansbee, WV.; his son George Eugene "Geno" Slanchik of Follansbee, WV; his significant other Geno; his child Cari Diserio of Follansbee, WV; his brother Robert C. Slanchik of Manhattan Beach, LA; and his grandfather George P. Slanchik of Weirton, WV. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
