He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frio and Mary Santora Frio; his former wife Virginia Kirlangitis Frio; his siblings, Joe Frio and Carmella Ciccarelli; and his grandson David Frio.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Crognale Frio; his children, David Frio (Michele) of Washington, PA, Dan Frio Frio (Carolyn) of St. Charles, IL and Donna Pusateri (Robert) of Williamsburg, VA; his grandchildren, Nicole Sinclair (John), Kristen Flecker (Daniel), Michael, Marcus, Patrick and Dayna Frio; and his great grandchildren, Jake, Adam Sinclair, Gabriel and Bryce Flecker.
