We are sad to announce that on May 10, 2021, at the age of 86, Catherine Shute of Follansbee, West Virginia, born in Steubenville, Ohio passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, John T. Kenefick and Annabelle Kenefick (Castner); her husband Charles "Chuck" Shute; her son Scott Alan Shute; her sons-in-law, Stewart Bowman and Joseph Hooker; her great grandchild Zayla Smith; and her siblings, Michael Patrick Kenefick, John Thomas Kenefick and Mary Alice Bryan.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon K. McCarthy (Michael) of Colliers, WV, Lori Ann Bowman of Follansbee, WV, Beth Marie Hooker (Ed Hood) of Follansbee, WV, Charlyn Jean, Rick of Salisbury, MD and Brian Patrick Shute (Tisha Huff) of Follansbee, WV; her daughter-in-law Mary Shute of Wellsburg, WV; her grandchildren, Shawn McCarthy (Amber), Briana Bowman, Nicole McCarthy, Joshua (Sonya), Joe Hooker, Tammara Bowman, Kenny and Daniel Shute; her great grandchildren, Brandon, Kaydence, Mackallen, Michaela and Shiann; her stepgrandchildren, Mary Helen Alvis (John), Debbie Stevens (Randy) and John Thomas Bowman; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Joey, Mariah Alvis, Randy and Kevin Stevens; and her brother James Andrew Kenefick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
