He is survived by: his wife Mary Love Ward; his child Joseph Balis Ward, Jr.; his wife Christine; his grandchildren, Derek, Kelsey, Bryan, Alexis, Joseph and Tiffany; his sisters, Brenda Jewell, Patty Sandy, Louise Shingleton and Ada Spencer; his friend Billy Croston; and also, Flemington, William Jonathan Ward (Theresa), Dale, Anita M. Bolyard (Steve), Lisa Lambert (Paul) and Bridgeport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
