It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Edward Mazzie of Flemington, West Virginia, born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, who passed away on June 15, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Mazzie and Jeannette Moscar Mazzie; and his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Mazzie, Kathleen Jean Mazzie and Eleanor Louise Mazzie.
He is survived by: his wife Sletta Harper Mazzie; his children, Michael Kevin Mazzie (Ginger) of St. Albans, Mark Rene'Mazzie (Robin) of Fairmont, Beth Ann Kidwell (David) of Points, WV and Tera Goff (Nathen) of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Joshua Mazzie, Jennifer Mazzie, Samuel Mazzie, Elise Moore, Sara Williams, Ashley Campbell, Alex Mazzie, Jesse Mazzie, Jordan Goff and Brooklyn Goff; his sister Rose Duke of Bridgeport; his faithful Hemingway; and his pet Miss Kitty. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
