He was predeceased by: his sisters, Martha Ellen Loyd and Mary Sue; and his siblings-in-law, Rose Leo Hoard, Tom Kelsey and Dale Hoard.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel M. Cutlip Loyd; his children, Samuel J. Loyd of Sutton and Christy Sue Collins (Roger) of Corley; his grandchildren, Ellen and Alex Collins of Corley; and his siblings, John Loyd (Betty) of Philippi, Jean Johnson (Bill) of Pittsburgh, PA, Rachel Kelsey of Collierville, TN and Nellie Griffin (David) of South Charleston. He is also survived by 13 Nieces and Nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
