With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alfred Holley Shaffer of Flatwoods, West Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Shaffer; his parents, Holley Shaffer and Delphia Shaffer; his stepson George Miller; and his siblings, Lloyd, Emory, Chester, Mildred, Beaulah, Violet, Helen, Dorothy and Ruby.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Shaffer (Brenda), Shelia Murdock (Tim), Anita Kennedy, Tina Troy and Brenda Tanner; his stepdaughters, Teresa Jones and Beverly; and his sister Elise Coffman. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 12 step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to family or funeral home to assist with funeral arrangements.
