He is survived by: his parent Mary Mansfield Matherly; his wife Lisa Lilly Matherly; his children, Joshua Matherly, Justin Matherly, Lula Matherly Powers (Dean), Roger Matherly Jr. of Thomasville, NC and Franklin Matherly (Adriana) of Thomasville, NC; his siblings, John Matherly (Cathy) of Waynesboro, VA, Ellen Scott (Bob) of Spring City, TN and Patricia Hall of Princeton, WV; and his pets, Bella, Momma, Squeaky, Tiger and Abby.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to either of Roger's favorite organizations: District IV Challenger Little League, or to the Raleigh County Special Olympics.
