It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Vaughn Thurston of Flat Top, West Virginia, who passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Earl Thurston and Robbie Lea Strickland; his grandparents, Nichols and Laura Thurston; and his sister Laura Beth Crookshank.
He is survived by: his wife Leda Maxine Thurston; his children, Rick Thurston (Kirsten) of Arlington, Texas and Pam Lusby of Arlington, Texas.; his siblings, Nancy, Patricia and David Thurston (Jerri) of Arlington, Texas.; and his pet Maggie. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
