He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Hatcher and Rachel M. Johnson Hatcher; his siblings, Arland, Rudolf, Joseph Hatcher and Mary Vaught; and his half-brother O. D. Hatcher.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Clark Hatcher; his sons, Bryan Hatcher (Rhonda) of Flat Top and Greg Hatcher (Melissa) of Flat Top; his siblings, Vernoia Hatcher (Carolyn) of Rock Hill, SC, Ina Durham (Martin) of Beckley, Serilla Barnett (Frank) of Christiansburg, VA, Betty Stafford (Jim) of Bedford, VA and Virginia Lilly of Roanoke, VA.; his grandchildren, Jennifer Harvey (Scott), Katherine Hatcher, Alexus Hatcher, Kayla Hatcher and Dwayne Hatcher (Ashley); and his close friends, Ray Blanchel and Steve Woods.
