He was predeceased by: his mother Annabelle Laura McDonald (Berg); his son Brandon Cassell; his niece Ashley McDonald; and his great-nephew Rowen McDonald. He is survived by: his father Forist James "Big Jed" McDonald, Jr. of Moorefield, WV; his wife Valorie Ann McDonald (Bergdoll); his children, Shantel Renee McDonald of Fisher, WV and David Alan Cassell (Savanna) of Baker, WV; his brothers, Forist "Little Jed" McDonald, III (Judy) of Dorcas, WV and Brian McDonald of Moorefield, WV; his grandchildren, Leslie, Chelsea and Waylon Cassell; his parents-in-law, James and Nancy Bergdoll; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Bergdoll (Kendi) and Dianna Bergdoll (John). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home (501 N Fork Hwy, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
