He is survived by: his wife Sharon Louise Runk Sumpter; his stepchildren, Melissa Ann and Brian Alvin Runk; his sisters, Ceola Houston and Maxine McCoy; his nieces and nephews, Leslie, Chris Freeman, Teresa Johnson and Belinda Brewer; and his close friend Barbara Miller Walton. He is also survived by 4 step grandchildren.
